This is my card for this week's color challenge over at SCS. The challenge was to use Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink & Old Olive. It took me a couple of times before I was 'kinda happy' with the combo, I'm not sure that I like yet.
Since Purely Pomegranate is one of the new 'In Colors' it is not offered in the markers. So to get the color on the stamp image I used a blender pen and dipped it into the Purely Pomegranate ink pad and than colored it directly onto the stamp image. I also took the old olive marker and directly colored the stems of the image.
To create the background image on the Pretty in Pink cardstock, I first stamped the Linen background stamp in pretty in pink ink and then stamped the En Francais over the top using Purely Pomegrante ink. I then sponged the edges using Purely pomegranate.
Thanks for stopping by today!
