Can you handle this??

I love how the 'Color Throw Down Challenge' asks 'Can you handle this?' I thought to myself, 'NO' I don't think so!!!! At first glance it looked a little intimating, but I thought I would give it a try anyway.

I was actually surprised when I was going through my 'scrap stash'. I came across something I had already started to put together that looked very simuliar to this week's Color Throw Down #84 challenge! I changed a few things around and used the sketch from this week's OCC sketch challenge and came up with this.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

LOVE SPARKLES WITH SWEET SUNDAY

Happy Monday Everyone!
Don't the weekends just fly by to fast? Mine just flew, my daughter was here for the weekend before leaving for Florida this morning for spring break. Although our weather was beautiful this weekend I wish I was going with her!
In between spending time with Megan I was able to do a little stamping too!
Today's card was inspired by Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #60 and this week's OCC color challenge. This card was super easy and fast to make with no stamping involved! As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use something other then flowers, my first thought was 'Stars' but soon realized I didn't have the set I wanted to use so the next thought was 'Hearts'. I LOVE the 'Simply Scrappin' set 'Love Sparkles' and knew this would fit the bill perfectly!
Thanks for stopping by!
RECEIPE:
STAMPS: None
PAPER: Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Simply Scrappin' - 'Love Sparkles'
INK: None
ACCESSORIES: Linen Thread, buttons, Crystal Effects.

Another Challenge Down

Hello and thanks for stopping by!
Today's card was made using last week's OCC Sketch challenge. I've had the card in the works for a few days but just couldn't get it posted until now.
My daughter Megan has been home and I've been trying to spend some mom and daughter time with her as much as I can before she has to leave again.
I thought I would show a close up of these butterfly's. I embossed them onto vellum cardstock with white craft ink and Pretty Pearls embossing powder (retired SU! powder). I made the body and the antenna using SU! wire works and white beads also from SU! and attached with Crystal Effects.
RECEIPE:

PAPER: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock, Cottage Wall DSP
INK: White Craft Ink, Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Wire works silver wire, white bugle beads, Rich Razzleberry Dotted Ribbon, Scallop Edge punch.
