Quick Update...

Hi everyone, so sorry I've been so quite lately. Life seems to take some pretty quick turns at the drop of a hat. Last Tuesday October 21 one of my cousins was in a very serious car accident. The driver in the other vehicle was killed. My cousin Jason was not, but he has some very serious injuries including broken bones in his back & neck. I come from a very close knit family and alot of my extended family has spent many hours at the hospital with my Aunt & Uncle and their family during this time. Please keep Jason in your prayers as he goes through this very difficult time in his life.

I hope to get in some stamping time soon, but my first priority is my family. Please keep checking back for any updates. Take Care, Diane

Chocolate Daisies - 4 in 1

Today's card is one I made for a few different challenges. Since I started working outside of the house I don't get as much time to stamp as I would like, so I've had to combine a couple of challenges that I like to do into one card. First challenge comes from the girls over at the OCC, the challenge was to use bling on your project. Bling you say?, I can do that! The next challenge was from the gals over at CCEE Stampers, their challenge was to make your own DSP. No problem in that challenge either, I LOVE my background stamps and of course my Cuttlebug! Last week's 'Ways to use it' Challenge 186 over at SCS was to use a quote, I love this quote from the 'Inspired by Nature' set. And finally, I am always looking for an opportunity to use up some of my scraps and I was able to use a few on this card, thus my 'Go Green' Challenge! Whew, 4 challenges in one!
Thanks for stopping by!

When I first saw this image I was drawn toward the layout and the colors of this image. The OCC challenge calls for colored stitching on your card. My favorite background stamp 'Stitched' falls into that catagory! This is what I came up with, I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!
